Elizabeth Embler

Elizabeth Embler is a dedicated attorney at Close and Hitchcock, focusing primarily on criminal law, including State and Federal criminal defense, sentence modifications, and expungements. She specializes in high-level felonies but also represents clients in misdemeanors, Protective Orders, family law matters, and CHINS cases.

A graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School, Elizabeth earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Management with a minor in Spanish from Indiana University - Fort Wayne. She went on to obtain her J.D. from Cooley Law School in Lansing, MI. During law school, she interned at the Allen County Public Defender's Office, where she developed a deep commitment to defending the accused and had the privilege of working under her mentor, Marcia Linsky.

Elizabeth is passionate about advocacy and believes in being a strong voice for her clients in the legal system. She is dedicated to holding law enforcement and the government accountable while ensuring that every client's rights are protected.

Beyond her legal practice, Elizabeth is deeply involved in the recovery community. She has served as a member of the Fort Wayne Allen County Task Force for Opioid Strategic Planning (FATOS), co-hosted Fort Wayne's 2024 Recovery Rocks, contributed to Former Mayor Henry's Opioid Prevention Campaign, and was the keynote speaker for Fort Wayne's first Overdose Awareness Day.
