Michael Middleton, an associate attorney with Close & Hitchcock, has been providing legal expertise and knowledge for over 8 years. Michael has practiced several years as a general litigation attorney with a focus on family law and employment issues. After years in the public sector Michael decided to utilize his negotiating, pretrial, and courtroom skills helping families and individuals navigate some of the most challenging times in their lives and is a registered Indiana Domestic Relations Mediator.
Be it contested family law issues or employment matters, it is essential to have an attorney familiar with the law and comfortable in the courtroom. Since graduating from the Robert McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, Michael began his career as a staff attorney with the Department of Child Services. His duties with DCS gained him invaluable experience in courtroom and trial settings. When Michael returned to the Fort Wayne area, as the staff attorney for Fort Wayne Metropolitan Human Relations Commission, he expanded his practice and understanding to civil rights and employment issues. Having spent his most recent years as a public defender and general litigation attorney, Michael is happy to be serving the public and providing experienced advocacy for his clients.
